With sorrow and sadness, after accompanying dear Shlomo for the last few months in his fight with cancer, we said goodbye to him last week.
Shlomo Tiser, the man, the legend, is more than a partner to us. Shlomo is a symbol of Zionism, values, morality, professionalism and, above all, care and a feeling of endless responsibility for the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
We met Shlomo 7 years ago. Doron Almog decided that he had to take Shlomo on a tour and get to know what we do. We didn't know that a great friendship would grow, and we would walk together on a journey.
Attached is a correspondence with Shlomo that symbolizes the amazing man he was. At his funeral we thought that if Shlomo was here with us, he would have banished all the people and stopped them from talking about him and said, "don't you have something better to do?" "Does the tasks are finished?" and he without a doubt would say "don't mention my name".
Dear Shlomo, thank you for your support, advice, and your help with projects in Sderot and the visitor center, for being one of the founders of the Centennial Group. We and the people of Israel will miss you. May your memory be a blessing. We will try to continue your path along your light.
