Dear WLC members, partners and friends,
This week, construction on the new town of Dror in the Negev began. Approximately 400 families will soon relocate to the land.
We have been preparing for this moment for the past 20 years through detailed planning, government decisions, High Court rulings, countless tours and meetings, including a wonderful impact group of pioneers who have been residing in the temporary camp for 12 years.
This is a far bigger story than the establishment of a new town because it is a component of a brand-new land area that we are developing between the Dead Sea and the city of Rahat, an area that was not planned by the state.
In the town of Dror will live 15,000 pioneers who will build their homes and a new piece of land in the Negev, part of the plan to bring 300,000 additional residents to the northern Negev.
Together. Building the future of Israel.
